Sepherian was at the local tavern, seated at a bar with a particularly attractive blacksmith beside him. He was using his uncanny charm and God-awful but somehow effective smooth talking to flirt with the young man. It disturbed a few patrons, but the rest of them were either too drunk to care, or knew to mind their own business. The acolyte was running his ungloved fingers through his new prospect’s light green hair, giving him a grin that was less than subtle about his intentions. It was just then, someone screamed from somewhere outside the tavern. This was followed by more screams, before someone barreled through the door, hitting the floor as they begged for help. Sepherian sighed. Without a word, the brunet stood, shoving his hands into his coat pocket. He pulled them out a second later, a pair of Hatii claws covering his knuckles. He flexed his fingers a few times before heading towards the exit. He paused long enough to turn his head and wink at the blacksmith. “This’ll only take a minute. Wait up for me, okay baby?” He smirked before boldly throwing open the door and stepping outside. Sepherian rushed towards the sounds of people in trouble, finding himself in the heart of the city. A Kaho was hovering around with its fiery arms extended, exposing it’s burnt ribcage. The monster screeched, sending out fireballs in all directions, not seeming to care what it hit. Sepherian took a deep breath in through his nose before letting it out all at once. He casually walked up behind the monster, quickly turning with it when it faced another direction. From there, he simply reared his arm back, then punched forward with as much force as he could muster. He felt a bit of the thing’s spine crumble before it whipped around to face him, screeching angrily.

"Ugh, I can't stand her sometimes..." A sigh was given as the female gunslinger walked along the street, her faithful canine companion by her side. It seemed once again she had gotten in another fight with Keoki, and was storming off in one of her moods again.
"Nee-chan, you shouldn't start so many fights with her..." Sabaku sighed as he looked up at her.
"I DO NOT START THE FIGHTS! SHE DOES!!" Tobias snapped out, but her yelling was cut short once she heard the screams of the civillians. She glanced around with a blank look as people ran past her, looking clueless about the entire then before she saw a small glow from up ahead. That must have been where whatever was going on, was going on. Quickly she began to run ahead, grabbing her revolvers as Sabaku ran behind her just as fast, if not faster. Hey, he had to work off the pounds from that afternoon snack!

Sepherian had expected the monster to confront him, and he had expected it to attack. What he hadn't expected was for it to already be prepared to strike him, or the force behind the blow. He was flung backwards, laying sprawled out on the cobblestone street. He could hear his skin sizzling from where the Kaho had hit him with its fiery wing. His hands may have been protected by the magic on his claws, but his face was another matter. He grunted, trying to ignore the smell of burnt flesh as he flipped back onto his feet. "Alright, ugly...You done pissed me off! No one messes up my handsome face and gets away with it!" He stared at the monster with his left eye, as his other one had quickly swollen shut. He'd be able to heal it later, but for right now, his only concern was stopping the fire demon. "You are SO dead!" he yelled out, rushing at it with his fists prepared to strike.

She slid to a stop as she looked ahead, her eyes narrowing a little on the molten creature. Why was there only one person fighting this thing off? She could have figured as much though, everyone else must have been in the bar getting drunk. She sighed as her eyes rolled a little and she looked down to Sabaku who nodded and rushed off. With that she took her guns aiming before a rain of bullets flew out, five all at once.
"Rapid Shower!" She called out as she fired off five more from the other gun. Each bullet flew forward, the first five shooting right through it's body as an attention shot, where the other five headed right for it's face. She brought herself into closer range to get a better shot for next time once Sabaku returned from wherever he was going.

Sepherian heard the sound of the girl's guns long before he ever saw her. The acolyte quickly rolled out of the way to avoid any stray bullets. He wasn't stupid, he knew how powerful a gunslinger's shots could be. The Kaho screeched again, floating towards Tobias now with the intent of getting her out of the way. Sepherian took his opportunity and rushed the demon again. "Hey! Thanks kid!" he yelled to the femme gunslinger, catching the monster's attention again. This time Seph was ready. When it turned, he shot his fist out, uppercutting the creature right under it's beak-like face. He jumped to the side to dodge any oncoming blows and got into a fighting stance. Now would be a good opportunity for the girl to attack, and potentially finish it off if they were lucky.

"... Kid?" She blinked a moment as she stared, but then shook her head a little before she narrowed her eyes and aimed carefully again. Again another round of Rapid Fire as shot as the bullets flew out, striking the monster with the combined ten bullets. That should have been enough to at least knock it down, but it that wasn't enough she fired off one more, making it a total of 20 bullets soaring off in it's direction.
"Hey Nee-chan I go-- oh..." Sabaku stopped, dropping a box at his feet as he watched her. Well, he guess she didn't need his help now after all. It was normal, but he brought the cartridge of bullets anyway in case there was anything she needed. "Yaaaay! Go Nee-chan!!"

Sepherian smirked as the Kaho screeched in pain, wrapping its wings around itself. This was the perfect opportunity presenting itself to him. Seph's hands moved quickly in a complicated pattern before he thrust both his arms forward, palms upright. "Holy Light!" he yelled as a bright white crossed appeared and slammed into their enemy. An unearthly noise escaped from the monster as it curled in on itself. It shrunk into a row of fireballs, before those fizzled down into nothing as well. "Well, now that that's out of the way..." He raised his arms and stretched, a large grin on his face. He was all for heading back to the bar, but he decided to properly thank the gunslinger who helped him out. "Hey there," he said as he walked up to her, holding his hand out to shake. "Thanks for the help back there. You have some seriously nice moves."

"Uhh..." Tobias blinked as she stared down at his hand, she looked almost in a dumbfound stare before her eyes suddenly widened as she put her guns away, then reached out as she shook his hand and smiled with a nervous look. "I-It was no problem really! J-Just doing my part, that's all."
"Nee-chan, what do I do with this?" Sabaku walked up to them, pushing the cartridge up to them with his nose. Tobias stared down at it a moment before shoving the box away with her feet with another nervous smile.
"Go give it back to Kafra for now." She said with a smile before turning back to the Acolyte in front of her, she still shaking his hand even after a whole two minutes had passed.

Sepherian had raised an eyebrow at the girl, but still had a good-humored smile on his face. "Uh, you can let go now, Miss," he said with an amused tone to his voice.
((Sorry for the shortness))

"Uh, OH RIGHT!" Her eyes widened as she quickly let go, looking away before she looked back to him, her eyes closing as she crossed her arms. "And it's not Miss, the name's Tobias."
Sabaku looked down at the box which was now shoved off to the side, and with a sigh his ears lowered and he gave an annoyed look before he leaned down, trying to pick the box up with his mouth. When that failed to work he sighed and began to trot away, shoving the box with his nose as he made his way back to the Kafra worker.

"Tobias. Got it. Unique name, I like it. Mine's Sepherian." He couldn't help but laugh at her a little, before he looked down. He saw Sabaku trying to transport his package back to where he got it from. Without further hesitation, Sepherian reached down and scooped up the wolf pup in one hand, and the bullets in the other. "We should probably go take these back now, huh? What do you say?" He inwardly sighed, somewhat irritated with himself for stalling so long. Oh well. His "date" could wait. If not, well...it wasn't like he couldn't find another guy.

Sabaku yipped a little as he was picked up, looking up at him now before looking back at Tobias. She looked at them both with a confused looked before she walked up to join them now. She watched the Acolyte for a moment, her eyes narrowing a little. Normally whenever she introduced herself to someone, they would ask why she had a boy's name, but this one didn't even hint to a confusion about it. That was odd to her.
"So, you're an Acolyte?" She asked as she walked at his side now, observing his attire before she looked to Sabaku who was unsure of how to act in the arms of a stranger.

"Yep. Truth be told, I'm just in it so I can become a great monk someday. I'm not really as...religious, as I should be." He shrugged, Subaku shifting slightly with the movement. The pup squirmed a little, and Sepherian finally noticed his discomfort. He paused long enough to hand him back to Tobias. "Cute pet. What's his name?"

"Well it's not exactly uncommon. Not a lot of people that choose that path are exactly 'religious' as they should be now a days." Tobias sighed a little as she looked off to the side. She had only run into a few people that were in the profession that were actually dedicated to what their job stood for. She then looked to Sabaku once he was handed to her, she taking the pup into her arms before she looked to Sepherian.
"Oh ... his name is Sabaku." She said with a smile before she held the wolf in one arm and rubbed the back of her head a little with her free hand. "It's just japanese for 'desert'. I'm not very creative."

Sepherian just shrugged. He knew there was no way he could be the only atheist acolyte out there, he was just the only one that didn't try to hide it. That automatically made him the bad guy, where other people were concerned. Not that he really cared about what other people thought. "Sabaku, huh? It's not totally uncreative. Not a lot of people around these parts understand anything but English. It's not worth their time to bother learning, y'know?" Seph couldn't help but sigh right then. "Point is, it's not like they'll know the damn difference."

"I guess so." She spoke, her hand lowering as it returned around Sabaku in her arms. It wasn't so bad, there were names other people would just pick up off a package they saw. Least he wasn't named after dog treats or something. She then looked back towards Sepherian as she pet the puppy's head, she smiling a little.
"So where do you come from?"

"Prontera. The outskirts, actually. Kinda's convenient seeings as I spent most of my childhood in the church." There was a slight scowl on his face, but whatever was upsetting him seemed to pass as his usual bored expression returned. "How 'bout you? My first guess would be Einbroch, but logic dictates that's just where novices go to become gunslingers, not where they come from."

"Most gunslingers are from Einbroch ... but I come from Morroc. Heh ... you'd think I'd go off to be a thief or something." Come to think of it, she would have been perfect for the job. For years she had to live off what she stole when her brother vanished, and with thinking of that she frowned, looking down as she held Sabaku a little closer. She was happy one moment and now she looked depressed, but that was just what happened when she thought of her brother.

Sepherian caught onto the sudden turn in her mood, but he wasn't entirely sure if he should say anything. "Morroc is nice," he chose instead to say. "I go there often. Oh, hey...It's the Kafra lady." He moved his arm in an 'after you' gesture.

She looked up a little before she nodded a bit closing her eyes in a happy look with a smile. It wasn't had to tell though that the smile she gave was empty and looked forced, even Sabaku could tell as his ears lowered once he looked up at her.
"Heh, so it is." She replied, walking past him towards her before she set her pet down and talked to the worker about putting it the cartridge back into storage.

Sepherian came up beside her, handing her the bullet cartridge. The Kafra Lady smiled and took it from him, sending it to Tobias's storage unit. With a smile she wished them a good day an bowed. "You, too," Sepherian said as they started to walk away. He waited a moment before putting a hand on Tobias's shoulder. He hesitate a moment, reasoning with himself that it really wasn't his business, and he barely knew the girl. "Hey...You gonna be okay?" he asked, a sympathetic look on his face.

"U-Uh!" She blinked a little as she looked to him before she gave a nervous smile, her eyes closing again as she waved her hand a little. "I'll be fine. I just ... have some bad memories from ... my home town."
She looked to the ground now, her hand gripping as her pants a little as she stared at the ground with another frown. She wasn't good at hiding her emotions, and a lot of times that got her into a lot of trouble.

Sepherian wasn't sure he liked where this conversation was going, and he couldn't help but feel a little bit responsible for her current state. "Look, uh...Is there anything I can do? Like, can I buy you a drink or something? Scratch that, you don't look old enough to drink. Lunch, then?" He gave a sheepish grin.

She blinked a little as she looked at him, then seemed to snort a little as she started to laugh, holding her gut a little before she shook her hand at him in a 'get out of here' gesture. Tears formed in her eyes from laughing so hard before she stood upright, taking her finger and wiping them away before she shook them off her finger.
"Not old enough to drink ... Ah ha, that's funny."

Sepherian raised an eyebrow at her, crossing his arms as he watched her have her laughing fit. "Of course...I could be mistaken..." he said, tilting his head. An amused smirk found it's way onto his lips. It was just then, with the slight pull of muscles, a certain area of his face started to sting. He remembered the fight with the Kaho only minutes ago, and that he had only been seeing with one eye. The acolyte had been hurt so many times before, he had hardly noticed his latest injury, and it was easily forgotten about. Sighing at himself, Sepherian put his hands together and muttered a few words before covering that half of his face with a blue glowing hand. After a moment, he removed it, revealing his face was back to normal. He blinked a few times, letting his eyesight adjust back to normal.
